About the Project

After moving to Florida, I wanted to create a Christmas card with a beachy theme. I needed a fairly simple and easy-to-execute idea since I didn’t have much time to spend on this project. I decided to go with a vintage postcard theme based on Florida postcards my family and I collected over the years while on vacation. Max’s new favorite activity is floating in the pool, so having him pose on a flamingo float tied the whole Florida concept together.

I created the word art in Illustrator and composited some pictures of Max into the letters of his name using Photoshop. I found some sea stars at a local shell shop to use in the interior background image and added some “polaroids” of Max hanging out at the beach and pool.

I made matching stickers and address labels to go along with the card.
